Added MailJet Integration for Email Campaigns
21 July 2016
To help dealers build mailing lists and send email campaigns, we have added MailJet integration to complement the existing MailChimp integration. MailJet is a considerably less expensive alternative to MailChimp that is an equal from all perspectives. Antiquity is always striving to save our customers money and we believe this integration will achieve that aim for many of our customers.

Additionally, customers with Antiquity websites can now choose whether to use MailJet or MailChimp as their preferred service provider when someone subscribes to your mailing list on your website.
PDF Instructions for Website Preparation
01 July 2016
We issued several new documents to make it easy for customers to select the website options that best suit their needs and to provide all the information they need to get started with a beautiful new Antiquity website. At the same time we released a simple Excel spreadsheet that help identify the most cost-effective merchant account provider for those using e-commerce. The spreadsheet enables you to compare prices between your current merchant provider rates and Braintree (a PayPal company) even though their charging methods are significantly different.

Antiquity Development
17 March 2016
There has been a lot of development taking place for the next update to Antiquity Software, due to be released in early 2017. The main new feature is the 'Expenses Module' that allows you to enter non-stock related expenses, e.g. costs for an exhibition, stationery or entertaining. The way stock-related expenses are entered has also been simplified, brining together direct purchase costs and indirect costs such as restoration, so all costs can now be entered in one place. Once all expenses have been entered, you will be able to produce a quarterly VAT Report that includes both your sales and purchase liabilities. Additional new features include a report on items in stock that are jointly owned with share partners, a report on sales by stock category, a notification on invoices that a sold item is in shared ownership and a Tag or Collection feature for stock items. There have also been many smaller improvements and some pesky bug fixes.

New Antiquity Websites for 2016
10 December 2015
Stacks Image 44540
Our development team have been extremely busy working on the new website system for many months. It's a huge project that will deliver 21st Century websites for all Antiquity customers. We've completely redeveloped both the back-end database technology as well as the front-end websites. The website you’re looking at now is one of our new templates and available as a free upgrade to all customers with a previous Antiquity website. Antiquity subscribers without an Antiquity website will need to pay a small one-off setup charge of £295.

The key benefit of an Antiquity website is that it’s updated automatically by Antiquity, so you don’t have to do anything at all. Really, nothing! The stock management system you have in Antiquity will also keep your website up to date. Enter a new stock item into Antiquity, drag in one or more images and check the box to show it on your Antiquity website. That’s all there is to it. if you sell an item, Antiquity will automatically remove it from the website or make it as sold, depending on your settings. With an Antiquity website, we manage all the hosting and configuration and it’s all included in your Antiquity subscription, so there are no extra charges. Furthermore, the websites are easily customised and our system is flexible, so you can ask us to customise your website or you can use your existing web developer if you prefer.

All the new websites templates are fully responsive (which means that they work well on desktop, tablets and phones) and are designed with built in SEO optimisation. Early in 2016 we will further enhance the websites with a full shopping cart and features to allow for simple user customisation. There will be additional pages for publicising fairs and other events or services you offer and we will also introduce a mailing list builder and integrated emailing functionality with MailChimp. Later in 2016 we intend to integrate with eBay and Amazon as well as traditional portal sites for art and antiques, so that you can just click one button in Antiquity and your stock will upload to all your selected sites. We also plan to be working with LAPADA, so members can just check an option in Antiquity and their stock will also upload to the new LAPADA website.
Antiquity Mobile
13 November 2015
Stacks Image 44530
We’re delighted to announce the first release of Antiquity Mobile for iPad. With Antiquity Mobile you have access to all your stock wherever you are, even if you don’t have an internet connection.

Search your stock by category or keywords, view images, see prices and much more. This is a huge bonus for dealers at exhibitions, enabling you to show clients items that you have in stock but are not with you at the show. No need to print hundreds or even thousands of colour pages for a flip book - just flip through on your iPad. If a customer expresses an interest in a piece, Antiquity Mobile can even create a great looking PDF stock sheet and email it directly to your client (requires an internet connection).

Best of all, Antiquity Mobile is completely free of charge to all dealers with an Antiquity website. Antiquity subscribers without an Antiquity website just need to pay a small one-off charge of £295 to set up an Antiquity website (but don’t worry - you can still keep your current website if you want to). Antiquity Mobile requires an iPad with iOS 8.1.2 or later (compatible with iPad 4th generation, iPad Air, iPad Mini 1st generation and iPad Mini Retina).
