Front End Web Designer & Developer
Job Description
A great opportunity to join a small but thriving local business offering a varied set of products and services that need your skills! Whether you’re an enthusiastic self-taught designer or a talented graduate, we’re interested in what you can do and how well you can do it more than specific qualifications. We do however require that you have at least two years of commercial experience.

We develop web services, websites and business management systems for the art & antiques market - so a really good eye for design is absolutely essential. We also develop a selection of web services for other markets. This job will involve you in lots of different projects, perfect for someone who thrives on variety and can introduce their own creative and innovative concepts to a project.

You will be a mid-level to high-level developer with a good or excellent level of the required skills as well as a really good eye for design and attention to detail. It is essential that you have experience developing fully responsive websites. You will work with our current full-stack developer with some opportunity during work hours to research new libraries, plug-ins and technologies to enhance your skills and our products. Positive and creative input to help improve the product design is welcome.

You will be well organised, methodical, responsible, be a good communicator and work well in a small team. You will have a good sense of commercial awareness as regards deliverables to customers.

Work is based on-site in our Watford offices with some flexibility for occasional home working should it be required. Please do not apply if you cannot work from our office.

Although the job is essentially for a front-end designer / developer, back-end and other skills would also be considered beneficial.
